What is your favorite thing about China so far? Is there anything you don’t like about it?

Hi Katie, I am looking forward to hearing more about your adventures in China. There are a lot of children from China at my school. I am always amazed at how brave children are when they are in a country that speaks another language. Have you learned many Chinese words? I will share your journey with the kids at my school.

  • By angelesb, November 2, 2009 @ 3:21 pm

What a good idea to open a blog to share your Chinese adventures!
It’s a great opportunity for learning about a different culture…
Possible you can share with us about all the beautiful things you can see there :-)

    Hey Sweetie,
I enjoyed “re-living” our trip together! We sure had a great time. That bike ride was fun… and long! But ice cream along the way sure helped! Looking forward to seeing what you write next!

    Hi Everybody,
Thank you for commenting on my blog. I am going to answer some questions that some of you asked.

    Diane,
Yes, I did celebrate Halloween at my house because I had a cold so my mom stayed home with me and played games. She also made a path of candy to a bag of candy. It was fun.

    Liz,
Some of my favourite things in China ithat my dad is the principal of my English school. My mom is the really, really fun teacher that hands out candy when people mark MBFT’s (Math Basic Facts Tests). What I do not like is that there’s not much food that I am used to, and I had to leave my friends behind in Canada.

    Tricia,
No I do not know that many Chinese words but I do know some. Every day we do Chinese and I learn different things. I am good at numbers.

    Silvana,
I am going to put some pictures of my family in Xi’an on my blog next. Maybe some words to go with it.

I guess it is hard for you to get used to the food but I am sure that you will. I also love to hear you speak the Manderian words that you know when we speak to you on Skype. Keep up the good work.
lots of love, hugs and kisses.

    Hi Katie,
It’s very close to the holidays and I have been thinking about you all. I am twitter friends with your dad and I think he’s just so smart! Better not tell him I said so. Twitter is way cool because you can be friends with people who think like you do even if you never get to meet. I found this link and thought you might have fun with it. I hope so! If you make a movie send this link to me!
    All best to you.

Hi Katie! I got your letter!! It came on December the 22nd! I had a great Christmas, I hope you did too! Wow your school had a talent show, GREAT! It’s too bad our school didn’t have a talent show last year so that we could have sung together. Today was my first day back at school. I gave all your letters to your friends, they were all very excited to get a letter from you. I hope you have a fun time on your holiday. Can’t wait to see your pictures! Especially the ones river rafting and being nibbled on by a tiger!
    Miss you, Kyra :)
